The State Health Society invites application from trained candidates for filling up the following psot under integrated Disease Surveillance Project (IDSP) on contract basis for the period of six months or till 31st March 2013. Preference will be given to local Sikkimese candidates.

Age limit for both the categories : 45 years or below as on appointment date. The duration of written examination will be 3hrs. Short listed candidates who secure minimum 40% marks and above in the written exam will be called for viva-voce test. In case, the number of applicants is less than the number of post advertised, candidates would be selected through viva-voce evaluation.

(a) The appointment will be on purely temporary basis and the appointing authority reserves the right to terminals the appointee before expiry of the stipulated period with or without assigning any reason thereof.
The appointment on Ad-hoc basis will not confer any right to the appointee to claim for appointment on regular basis.
(4) a) Educational Qualification
(1) Degree from recognized University with Economics as one of the subject or B.Com or Degree in Business management or Co-operation.
(b) Other Qualification :
i) Must be able to converse in one of the language viz Nepali,Sikkimese Bhutia,Lepcha or Limboo.
ii) Must Have the knowledge of culture and traditions of Sikkim.
iii)Should have valid Local Employment Card
( c) Age Limit: Minimum 18 yrs /maximum 30 yrs as on 18.07.2012.Upper age limit is relax able as under
i)5 yrs relaxation is case of SC/ST candidates.
ii)4 yrs for MBC
iii) 3 yrs for OBC.
The selection will be made through open Competitive Examination. Subjects for the Written examination are as under.

Duration of the written examination will be 3 hours In total.
- The candidates who qualify the written examination as per the norms prescribed by the committee will be called for viva-voce.
i) Marksheets/Certificates of Degree of a recognized University along with class X Pass certificate mark sheet containing date of birth of the applicant.
ii) Valid local Employment Card in case of unemployed candidate.
ii) Domicile/Identification Certificate as the case may be.
iv) SC/ST/OBC/MBC/ Certificate as the case may be.
v) No objection certificate from the concerned secretary Head of Department incase of inservice candidate.
vi) Experience Certificate if any
The application complete in all respects should reach the office of the Joint Secretary, Cooperation Department,Sahakari Bhawan, Tadong by 3p. of 18.7.12 incomplete applications and the application received after the above date will be summarily rejected. No TA/DA/ is admissible for appearing the interview .The date and venue of the Examination will be communicated lateron.

The upper age limit is relaxed up to 50 years in the case of Group "C" and "D" persons working under State Government /NHPC and other Central Government Establishment or undertaking in the State of Sikkim on MR/Adhoc/Substitute/Contract/Work Charge basis. In-service candidate should apply through proper channel.
Application should be accompanied be attested copies of school certificate or testimonial along with Birth Certificate or Class X Certificate containing the Date Of Birth of the applicant, address of candidate will be issued a calling letter for written test.

Essential Qualifications: (1) A Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in Pan-II of the Third Schedule of the said Act, shall also fulfill the conditions specified in Sub-section (3) of the Section 13 of the Act. aforesaid).
